Research focus:
My lab uses the African Clawed Frog Xenopus laevis to analyze embryonic development of hydrocephalus. We are focusing on cilia-dependent mechanisms that influence cerebrospinal fluid flow in the ventricles. In addition, we are trying to understand how cilia on stem cells influence morphogenesis of the ventricular system as an important factor to prevent stenosis of the ventricles.
