Research focus:
1. Understanding the pathogenesis of hydrocephalus-associated brain damage through use of animal models and human autopsy material.
2. Development of pharmacotherapy to be used as an adjunct to shunt therapy.
3. Understanding the pathogenesis of shunt obstruction by studying tissue growth in explanted human shunts and in animal models.
