Physiology 2016

July 29, 2016 - July 31, 2016

The American Physiological Society (APS) and The Physiological Society (TPS) are delighted to announce that the “Physiology” meeting will be co-hosted in the Convention Centre Dublin from July 29–31, 2016. This partnership between the two oldest and largest physiological societies in the world marks the 140th anniversary of the founding of TPS and the 129th of the APS and is a continuation of a program of strategic collaborations. TPS President, Professor Richard Vaughan-Jones said, “I am truly delighted that this international meeting re-affirms the close collaboration between The Physiological Society and the American Physiological Society. It builds on the strategic links forged by our joint founding, in 2013, of the online scientific journal, Physiological Reports. The meeting in Dublin will permit us to demonstrate publicly the role of physiology as a major scientific discipline in the post-genomic world.” APS President David M. Pollock commented, “Physiology gives relevance to all other scientific disciplines, and like all discovery, knows no boundaries.” The meeting will be comprised of oral and poster communications, symposia, keynote and plenary lectures, interspersed by general interest workshops and networking opportunities. The meeting will be preceded by an Early Career Physiologists Symposium on July 28th. Dublin and the surrounding area offer a host of exciting extracurricular activities for those wishing to extend their stay.
